From selling appliances to offering financial services; advising customers so they can make informed decisions is “The Bluegrass Way”. In 1936, Charles H. Jett, Jr. began offering financing options to customers purchasing appliances from his business, Servel Electrolux Gas Refrigeration. 30 years later the company had evolved to the structure of a bank. And in 1972 the name became Bank of the Bluegrass. In 1981, trust services were added, and Bank of the Bluegrass and Trust became the name.
